New Orleans City Business said, "Through partnerships with health care facilities and insurance providers statewide, a New Orleans-based program is quietly working to help Louisiana smokers kick the habit." That program, the Smoking Cessation Trust, has "a little more than $150 million to spend over the next nine years on medications, individual and group counseling, telephone quit-line support and other programs to help counter nicotine addiction. The trust is currently managing about 11,400 participants statewide who are aiming to stop smoking." That's what Mike Rogers, CEO of SCT Management Services, L3C, the management company charged with managing the Trust's daily operations shared with their readers.
