Cardiovascular Institute of the South joins Smoking Cessation Trust by providing smoking cessation care to smokers

Cardiovascular Institute of the South ("CIS"), one of South Louisiana's premier providers of cardiovascular services, with clinics from Houma to Opelousas, has entered into an agreement with the SCT Management Services to expand its capabilities to include both clinic-based cessation services and group smoking cessation counseling.  CIS' commitment to begin providing smoking cessation treatment and group cessation counseling in its clinics will make local opportunities for cessation care  available to communities in the Highway 90/I-49 corridor from Houma to Opelousas that, prior to CIS' decision, were scarcely available in this area.
